Delores M. Komaniecki

 

Dolores M. Komaniecki, nee Mueller, 89, of Elgin, beloved young del, 64+ fantastic years of tears and joy as ever, old Ed; cherished mother of Donna Richards and the late Glenn (Maricela) Komaniecki; loving grandmother of Lauren, Sara and Alex Richards and Stephanie Komaniecki; dear sister of the late Henry (Judith) Mueller and close family members, Jessica (Brian) and Jamison Judiesch and Fatima Vazquez.

David Lee Lewis

 

David Lee Lewis passed away Jan. 16, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 82. He was born March 20, 1935, in Mauston, Wisconsin, the son of John and Mossa Bennett Lewis.

David was a U.S. Army veteran. He put himself through school while working as an animal handler for Baxter Laboratories. He married Barbara Walker on Feb. 25, 1961, in Chicago, and was a principal at Indian Trail Junior High School. David lived in Mountain Home since moving from Lombard, in 1990. He enjoyed construction and was a professional musician. He played on WGN Radio weekly while in the Fifth Army Band in the 1950s.

David is survived by his wife, Barbara Lewis of Mountain Home, Arkansas; son, David Lewis of Clarkridge, Arkansas; and daughter, Anne Krob of Lancaster, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

A Memorial Service was held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. Memorials may be made to Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services. 

 

Dean S. Petrie

 

Dean S. Petrie, age 55, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.

Survived by his loving wife Kim (Wirth) Petrie; children Monique, Kyle and Monica Petrie; father Warren Petrie; two brothers Tod (Laura) and Dale (Wendy) Petrie; mother-in-law Mitzi Wirth. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his mother Donna (Wallin) Petrie;  and father-in-law Bud Wirth.

Born in Evanston, living in Joliet the past 26 years.  Employed by the U.S. Post Office in Elmhurst. Member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Dean enjoyed fishing, playing golf and was a Chicago Sports Fan especially the Cubs and Blackhawks.

A Memorial Service was held Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, with Rev. Loy Schlote officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family or Our Savior Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

 

Dorothy Pribyl

 

Dorothy Pribyl, nee Marose, age 88, of Lombard, died Jan. 21, 2018.

Albert Joseph Reinschmidt

 

Albert Joseph Reinschmidt, 70, of Lombard, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones and family at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Albert is survived in death by his beloved Eileen Bleidorn of Lombard; daughter, Jessica (Xan Steadman) Reinschmidt; son, Albert (Jeanina) Reinschmidt; 4 grandchildren, Eric Hazelwood, A. Nicholas Reinschmidt, Allison Reinschmidt, Alexander Steadman; and the children and grandchildren of Eileen Bleidorn.

Albert was born in Chicago, to Albert and Beatrice, nee Brooks, Reinschmidt on Aug. 7, 1947. Al went to Bogan High School in Chicago. Al went on to earn his doctorate in civil engineering at the University of Illinois. Al worked as an Asst. Professor at Penn State University. Al later worked at Association of American Railroads as Sr. Asst. Vice President.

Al also consulted for numerous high-speed rail projects across the globe, as “Dr. Track” Railway Consultants. In 1998 Al began working for Transportation Technology Center Incorporated. Al retired from his Vice President position in 2012. Al enjoyed volunteering at the Illinois Railway Museum, adding to his model railroad collection, traveling the world, and spending time with friends, family, and his rescue dogs, Branna and Willow.

A Memorial gathering will be at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
