Denise M. Carpenter, age 62, of Elgin, formerly of Lombard, died June 25 at her home.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 29, at Brust Funeral Home. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Frank J. Cvach Jr.

 

Frank J. Cvach Jr., age 86, of Lombard passed away June 30, 2018.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 6, from 3-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, with 9:30 a.m. prayers from Brust Funeral Home to St. Pius X Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Geraldine A., nee Hartjen; his loving children, Joseph (Cindy) of Florida, Stephen (Lisa) of Arizona, Susan (James) Perkins of Lombard, James (Susan) of Arizona, Carol Flynn of Winfield, Judith Borsom of Lombard, Laurie (Ralph) Ellis of Lombard, Edward (Nenette) of Elgin, Mary (Nick) Agliato of Lombard, Kathleen (John) Loftus-Marek of Carol Stream, Patricia (Becky) Armstrong-Campbell of Downers Grove and the late Victoria Marie Cvach; his 28 grandchildren and his 25 great-grandchildren; his dear brother, Robert (Dolores) of California; four nieces and nephews; and many other relatives. 

Frank grew up in Cicero and then became a resident of Lombard for the past 61 years. He was a Veteran of the USAF during the Korean War Era. Frank owned Frank’s Appliance Service Repair in Lombard in the 1960s. He was a longtime commercial carpet salesman and lastly worked for Lewis Carpet Company from which he retired.

Frank was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for 64 years. He received many awards and was a former Grand Knight. He was also a Pro-Life Chairman for the Knights of Columbus. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and former nominee for Lombard Man of the Year.
