David C. Allison

 

David C. Allison, age 70, of Glen Ellyn, died June 4 at his home.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia, nee Ahern; loving father of Katie (Joe) Benka of Lombard; grandfather of Henry and Thomas Benka of Lombard; loving brother of Bob Allison of Roselle, Nancy Allison of Oregon and the late Larry (Shirley) Allison of Des Plaines; and many nephews and nieces and other relatives.

A memorial service was held Monday, June 11, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Prior to moving to Glen Ellyn, David had been a resident of Lombard for 30 years. He grew up in Wheaton, Colorado and Arlington Heights. He graduated from Forest View High School in Arlington Heights in 1966. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Vietnam War.

David was a contractor and home flipper and excelled in maintenance. He loved Las Vegas and the craps tables and liked playing cards. He loved to spend time with his grandsons. David worked full time until his death. He is the grandson of Zachary Taylor Davis, the architect of Wrigley Field.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Cal’s Angels, 2422 W. Main St., Suite 3b, St. Charles, IL 60175, would be appreciated.
