Lorraine A. Bedard

 

Lorraine A. Bedard, nee Boisvert, age 98, of Port Charlotte Florida, a former longtime resident of Lombard, passed away on Feb. 19, 2018.

Lorraine is survived by children Sharon, George (Patricia), Edward (Pamela), Dolores (Ron Callis), Richard (Cathy), Mary (Frank Geldert); sisters, Adelaide Mills, Dolores Baker, Donna Arndt; brother Larry; and many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her beloved husband George; daughter Joan; brother Louie; and sisters Beverly Miner, Viola Hull and Joan Corbin.

Lorraine grew up in Little Falls, Minnesota, and was the daughter of Addie and Louie Boisvert. She married George Bedard in April of 1942 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage and raising her family in Lombard.

Lorraine was active in both her church and community.  She was a longtime Eucharistic Server at Sacred Heart Church and an active member of the Lombard Garden Club for many years.

Lorraine, after raising her family, began working as an accountant, eventually retiring from the Plunkett furniture chain. Upon her retirement, Lorraine continued to pursue her enjoyment of both golf and bowling, activities she thoroughly enjoyed late into her 90s.

Lorraine will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her family.

A Memorial Mass for Lorraine will be held Friday, March 23, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 114 S. Elizabeth St., Lombard.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Carmel of Mary, 17765 78th St. SE, Wahpeton ND, 58075; or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis TN, 38105, would be appreciated.

 

Catriona D. Bowen

 

Born Jan. 10, 1918, in Albany, New York, the daughter of Edgar C. Bowen and Florence C. Bowen. In 1926 Edgar’s employer, Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co., moved the Bowen family to the Chicago Branch where they settled in Villa Park.

A lifelong resident of Villa Park, Catriona attended St. Alexander's Catholic elementary school and graduated in 1935 from York High School as Valedictorian of her class. She continued her education at Elmhurst College, earning a B.S. cum laude in 1939.

She began her career at York State Bank (US Bank) working 43 years in various positions, retiring as Vice President of the Mortgage Department. Once retired Catriona traveled with friends, took music lessons and art courses at College of DuPage, all of which she enjoyed immensely.

Her talents were shared with the community as she was the organist at St. Alexander’s for many years and her oil paintings grace the walls of homes and businesses throughout the Midwest.

Catriona was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Edgar C. III (Maxine Fiske) and a dearly beloved niece Anne Maxine Bowen.

A Mass in Catriona’s honor will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. at St. Alexander's Catholic Church, 300 Cornell Ave., Villa Park. Interment private.

 

Marcia L. Brady

 

Marcia L. Brady, age 68, of Lombard, died March 11, 2018, at her home. She was the loving wife of Timothy P. Brady.

Gregory Edenhauser

 

Gregory Edenhauser, of Villa Park, 54, born to the late Anne Bergh and the late Gerhard Edenhauser, passed away on March 14, 2018.

For 29 years he was a truck driver at Pepsico. Since 1996 Gregory was the loving husband of Barb Edenhauser. He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas (Karen). Gregory is survived by his second father, Sid Bergh of Villa Park; Barb's daughters, Becki (Scott) Knighton, Misse (Brady) Sampson, and Lesley Britt; sisters, Karen (Michael) Marnell, Susan (Robert) Joorfetz and Lynn (Robert) Borge. Grandchildren, Shane Britt, Brenton and Addison Sampson; and nephews, Michael (Elizabeth) Marnell and Matthew Marnell. Great Uncle of Mikey III.  Also, fond Uncle of Erika, David, Nicole, Nathan, Lisa and Erica.

Greg had a passion for hunting, fishing and his Harley and loved to teach family members his great fishing skills. If you knew Greg and spent time with him, you were a better person for it. His passing has left a huge hole in many hearts and he will be missed by all.

The family invites donations in Gregory's name to St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service on Saturday, March 24, at 5 p.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 547 N. Main St., Lombard, IL, 60148.

 

Frank W. Mitter

 

Frank W. Mitter, age 88, formerly of Lombard, died March 16.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 23, with Mr. Mitter Lying-In-State from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln, Lombard. Interment will follow at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.

Mr. Mitter is survived by his son, Thomas Matthew (Michiko) Mitter of Long Beach, Calif.; his daughter, Barbara Mitter (the late Bart) Hoberecht of Duvall, Wash.; three grandchildren, Anna Augusta (Michael) Tennyson, Wesley Hoshitaka Mitter and Eugene Ryusei Mitter; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mitter was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Joyce M., nee Roberts; and by a brother, Richard O. Mitter.

Frank was a resident of Lombard since 1953. He was a 1947 graduate of York High School and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Frank worked as an electrician and in electrical construction for Gibson Electric. He was a basketball fan.

Robert A. Reinhardt

 

Robert A. Reinhardt, 87, of Lombard, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

He is survived by his children, Randell (Alena), Diane Hermann, Blair and Gail (Timothy) Owens; grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 19; sisters, Jean Anderson and Carole Marchi; brother, Kenneth (Sue); he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, V. Joan Reinhardt; and his brother, Joseph Reinhardt. A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 1S510 Winfield Rd., Wheaton IL 60189.
