Hattie V. Robertson, age 96, of Lombard, passed away on May 8, 2018.

Robert Tracy Williams Sr.

 

Born May 22, 1933, in San Francisco, California, the son of Sydney and Grace (McManis) Williams, and older brother to Ethel (Fran) Samela. Bob died May 7, 2018, at home with his wife of 65 years, Dorothy (Johnson) Williams. They were united in marriage Aug. 2, 1952, and are the loving parents of R. Tracy (Cindy) Williams Jr. of Batavia, Jay (Donna) Williams of Lombard, Glenn Williams of Villa Park, and Paress (Gary) Hampson of West Chicago. 

Bob and Dorothy have seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Bob met Dorothy at York H.S., Class of ’51. He had a distinguished career as a tool and die maker and electrical engineer. He initially was hired as a plant manager for Jensen Industries and later established Jensen Corporation/Video-Sonic Systems in Villa Park.

Bob was an active Rotarian, serving many leadership roles, notably District Governor, establishing record giving levels to eradicate polio and going on several mission trips, including to Ghana. He was honored to escort Mother Teresa at the International Rotary meeting in Brazil and served 45 years of perfect Rotary attendance.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is now with the Lord.
