Connie Rae Eltoft Adcock

 

Connie R. Adcock, 67, formerly of Lombard, passed away peacefully at her home on May 14, 2018.

Connie was the beloved mother of Siobhan (Andrew Roth) and Gillian (Matthew) Fletcher; the adoring grandmother of Averil Roth and Harvey and Emelia Fletcher; the cherished sister of Gary (Donna), Wayne (Janice), and Kevin (Patricia) Eltoft, and Erin (Ed) Moltzan; and sister-in-law of Penny (Gerry) Haynes. She is also survived by three treasured nephews, Michael, Marc and Callahan; seven beloved nieces, Tracy, Jessica, Shannon, Carly, Charlotte, Devon, and Victoria, and their much-loved children.

Connie is preceded in her passing by her loving husband of 24 years, the late Richard; her beloved daughter Athena; and her parents, the late Ralph and Lillian Eltoft.

Connie attended Willowbrook High School in Villa Park and later the University of Illinois. She built an award-winning career as a client services executive for companies based around the world, growing her reputation as a mentor, educator and manager, and earning the J.D. Power Award two years in a row for Intermedia, a cloud-computing service based in San Jose, California.

She traveled widely and lived in many cities, including Bolingbrook, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; Memphis, Tennessee; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Charleston, South Carolina; Northport, New York, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; San Jose, California; and Indianapolis, Indiana.

She inspired her friends and her family with her intelligence, humor, warmth, and generosity, and changed many lives for the better.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 20, at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, Oakbrook Terrace. Interment was May 21 at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace.

Contributions may be made in memory of Connie to the National Women's Law Center (nwlc.org) in honor of her longtime commitment to social justice.

 

Linda Sikoro Corbino

 

Linda Sikora Corbino, age 52, of Lombard, died May 14, 2018.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 19, at Brust Funeral Home. Entombment was at Assumption Cemetery, Winfield.

Margaret R. Hanlon

 

Margaret R. Hanlon, nee Brodie, age 93, of Lombard, died May 14 at her home. 

She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J.; loving mother of Thomas J. Jr. (Linda) of Lombard, and the late Kathleen “Kathy” and the late James A.; grandmother of five: Tony Ariola of Lombard, Michelle Radloff of Lombard, Amy Henderson of Lombard, Thomas J. III (Stephanie) of Lombard and James T. of Springfield; great-grandmother of five. She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 21, from Brust Funeral Home to Mass at to Sacred Heart Church. Interment Millington-Newark Cemetery, Millington, Illinois.

Mrs. Hanlon worked in the Chicago Schools as a teacher during World War II; she then worked for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 30 years. She attended Sacred Heart Church in Lombard.

Mrs. Hanlon loved golf and ping pong. She enjoying going to her grandchildren’s events.

Leonard J. Hasil

 

Leonard J. Hasil, age 73, of Lombard, passed away May 16, 2018.

Funeral Services will be held today, May 24, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. from Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Romona B. Kazienko

 

Romona B. Kazienko, age 87, of Lombard, died May 12, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital. 

Funeral services were held Friday, May 18, with prayers from at Brust Funeral Home to Mass at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 480 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

James Moneer

 

James Moneer, age 50, of San Diego, California, died May 14, 2018, at his home.

William F. Stiemann

 

William F. Stiemann passed away on May 9, 2018, in Sanford, Florida. Bill was born in Lombard and attended Hammerschmidt, Lincoln and Glenbard (now West), Class of ’47. Bill graduated from Columbia Bible College (SC), and was a Pastor of Christian and Missionary Alliance churches in the New York/New Jersey area and worked with Promisekeepers in the New York Metro area, prior to moving to Sanford. He also served in the Illinois National Guard.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley J. (Gustafson) Stiemann; three sons, Mark of Omaha, Nebraska, Timothy (Olguita) of Houston, Texas, and Theodore (Sheryl) of Sanford, Florida. He was the grandfather of Kyle (Sarah), Jesse (Allison), Josiah, Amanda, Timothy, Toby and Christy; and great-grandfather of Julian Stiemann. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Stiemann; sister-in-law Jane (Freund) Stiemann, both of Lombard; and nieces and nephews Vicki (Al) Webb, David (Brenda) Stiemann, James (Tammy) Stiemann, and Bonnie (Eric) Kramer; and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Theodore and Robert; and his great-grandson, Teddy. Services were held in Florida.
